Alana Murphy has been a pediatric occupational therapist for over a decade. She has dedicated her career to pediatrics with additional speciality in early childhood development and premature infants. She has worked in a variety of settings including neonatal intensive care units, outpatient clinics, inpatient pediatric rehabilitation and private home based therapy. She has additional expertise in the following treatment modalities: neurodevelopmental developmental handling (NDT), myofascial release, reflex integration, kinesiotaping, DIR/Floortime, oral tethered release, infant massage and breath pattern retraining.

She is a frequent lab assistant for Mary Massery If You Can't Breathe You Can't Function where she supports clinicians in their approach to optimizing breathing to help support movement and function. She is also Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and supports caregiver baby dyad with breastfeeding, latch, pumping, supply management, transition to bottle feeding and weaning.

Currently, she works part time in neonatal intensive care and has a private practice with a focus on providing holistic, family centered care.  She loves being an OT and is dedicated to collaborating with families to achieve shared goals that are fun and engaging for children of all ages.

She also provides developmental enrichment services, including individualized coaching for new parents, and teaching group classes on infant attunement and early developmental skills. She is looking forward to offering new group classes and workshops for families.
