“Alana is the most dedicated, hard-working and personable occupational therapist. My son was diagnosed with left-hemiplegia cerebral palsy at 7 months old. Alana saw him from 9 months old to 3 years old and during that time not only did he make tremendous improvements, but I saw a true relationship between him and Alana. She is amazing at building rapport and earning trust (from both parents and kids). She always found a way to work us into her schedule, even coming early mornings and working with us virtually at the beginning of covid. Alana always goes the extra mile - sends us follow up texts with exercises and activities we could do at home, links to objects or toys that could help our son and would talk us through any issues she saw in a way that was clear and easy for us non-therapists to understand. Her energy and enthusiasm are unparalleled and she is such a skilled therapist that sometimes our jaws would drop when we saw the hard-won progress she was able to make with our son. "Alana has been one of the most monumental people in my son’s physical development. She has been working with my 10 month old, 35 week preemie, son for the past 6 weeks, and yesterday he army crawled for the first time! I was so happy and thankful I could have cried. My son actually enjoys his time with her, unlike other therapists we’ve worked with, and so has my family. She has taught not only my son, but me how to help him move and thrive. Sadly we moved but are so committed to Alana and her help that we’re trying virtual sessions to keep her working with my son.
